Senior Code Quality Engineer - Remote

About the role

A remote, full-time (40 hours per week) contractor assignment for a Senior Code Quality Engineer, lasting 3 months. The role reviews and evaluates code, including AI-generated code, across several programming languages.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate AI-generated code across different programming languages.
• Assess code for correctness, reliability, security, scalability and maintainability.
• Identify bugs, logical errors, edge-case failures and architectural weaknesses.
• Analyze unfamiliar codebases and understand the impact of proposed changes.
• Review bug fixes, feature implementations, refactoring, API integrations and database operations.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering and production-grade software development.
• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, debugging and reviewing production software.
• Strong understanding of software design principles, clean code, modular architecture, abstraction, error handling and maintainability.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, C++, Go, C#, Ruby, PHP, Rust or another programming language.
