Senior Cost Controller

About the role

The company is seeking a Senior Cost Controller to join a high‑impact operations project in the agri‑industrial and manufacturing sector in Nairobi. You will work closely with the Operations team to provide accurate cost information, support budgeting, forecasting and cost analysis for manufacturing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update standard and product costing models for manufacturing operations.
• Prepare budgets, forecasts and monthly cost reports, highlighting variances and cost‑saving opportunities.
• Analyse inventory valuation, cost of goods sold and cost centre performance.
• Support SAP‑based cost reporting, including cost roll‑ups, PPV, GR/IR and BOM/routing data.
• Collaborate with plant managers to monitor plant variances and drive cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in manufacturing, energy, oil & gas, agri‑industrial or FMCG environments.
• At least 5 years in cost control, cost accounting or plant controlling roles.
• Strong knowledge of P&L, cost drivers, margins and budgeting processes.
• Fluent English and ability to work from the Nairobi office.
