Senior Credit Analyst – AVP (French Speaking)

About the role

The Senior Credit Analyst – AVP will join Citi’s Institutional Credit Management (ICM) team, providing best‑in‑class credit risk analysis, monitoring and administration for large corporate, public sector and financial institution clients. The role requires fluency in English and French and focuses on delivering high‑quality credit assessments and ongoing portfolio oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Assess credit and financial strength of complex corporate, public sector and financial institution clients using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
• Prepare credit analysis write‑ups, assign internal risk ratings, and produce initial credit approvals, transaction approvals, annual and quarterly reviews.
• Continuously monitor the assigned portfolio, track industry trends, and escalate potential credit issues to underwriters, risk and banking partners.
• Collaborate with regional and industry stakeholders to implement credit assessment and monitoring standards.
• Support ad‑hoc portfolio and industry reviews, stress testing, and other business unit initiatives.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of credit experience in banking, credit risk management or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in written and verbal English and French.
• Demonstrated ability to analyse financial statements, cash flow, leverage and liquidity positions.
• Experience with corporate and financial institution risk analysis is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA or related advanced degree is an advantage.
