Senior EPC Project Manager – Utility Scale Solar PV & BESS

About the role

Trillium Energy is looking for a senior EPC Project Manager to lead the delivery of a flagship utility‑scale solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Kenya. This full‑time, site‑based position requires daily on‑site leadership throughout construction, from notice to proceed through commissioning and commercial operation.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end EPC delivery of a 100 MW+ solar PV and BESS project.
• Lead all project functions – engineering, procurement, construction, planning, project controls, HSE, quality, commissioning, and commercial management.
• Manage international EPC contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Ensure safe, on‑schedule, on‑budget delivery to the highest quality standards.
• Maintain client, consultant and stakeholder relationships and provide executive reporting.
• Administer FIDIC contracts, handle variations, claims and commercial matters.
• Build, mentor and lead a multidisciplinary project team.

Required profile

• At least 15 years of experience in utility‑scale renewable energy, power generation or major EPC infrastructure projects.
• Proven delivery of a utility‑scale solar PV project of 100 MW or greater, including BESS, as Project Manager with full responsibility from mobilisation to handover.
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions under pressure and drive results.
