Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance, accessible web applications for enterprise cloud platforms serving users across Africa. You will work with modern React and Next.js stacks, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and help shape the technical direction of our products.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise client‑side architectures with React, Next.js and TypeScript, focusing on Core Web Vitals.
• Design, implement and scale core APIs, micro‑services and payment integration layers using Node.js or Python.
• Develop and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications with Flutter, handling complex state management and native device APIs.
• Create responsive UI/UX designs, wireframes and reusable component libraries using Figma.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP, orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes, and set up CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or GitHub.
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability testing and support SOC metrics, leveraging relevant certifications.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production experience with React and Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and performance optimisation.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js or Python, SQL/NoSQL databases and Redis.
• Proven portfolio of Flutter applications and familiarity with mobile state management.
• Expertise in Figma, user‑testing methods and component library creation.
• Practical knowledge of AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD automation.
• Security mindset with certifications such as CEH, CISA or CISSP preferred.
