Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance, accessible web applications for enterprise cloud platforms across Africa. You will work closely with product, design, and backend teams to turn complex digital transformation goals into elegant, user‑centric solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and optimise React/Next.js client architectures with a focus on Core Web Vitals.
• Architect and scale core APIs, micro‑services, and payment integration layers.
• Develop, test, and maintain cross‑platform mobile applications using Flutter.
• Translate business requirements into wireframes, user journeys, and responsive UI components in Figma.
• Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP, orchestrate containers with Docker and Kubernetes, and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitLab or GitHub.
• Conduct network vulnerability assessments and implement security best practices.

Required profile

• 4+ years of production experience with React and Next.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.
• Hands‑on experience with Node.js or Python backend development.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver Flutter applications at scale.
• Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Security certifications such as CEH, CISA, or CISSP are a plus.
