Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

The Senior HR Business Partner acts as a strategic advisor to leadership on all human capital matters, ensuring the hospital's workforce strategy aligns with organizational goals. The role covers talent acquisition, workforce planning, performance management, organizational culture, employee engagement and compliance with labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic HR support to senior leadership.
• Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning initiatives.
• Design and implement employee engagement and retention strategies.
• Manage employee relations and grievance resolution.
• Oversee HR policy development and compliance with Kenyan labour laws.
• Implement performance management and leadership development programmes.
• Ensure accurate payroll administration and statutory compliance.
• Support succession planning and organisational development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g. MBA) is highly desirable.
• Recognised professional HR certification such as CHRP-K, IHRM, CIPD or an equivalent international qualification.
• Membership in the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) Kenya or a relevant professional HR body is required.
• Minimum of eight to ten years of progressive HR experience, including senior HR advisory or business partnering roles, preferably in healthcare institutions, hospitals or large complex organisations.
