Senior Learning Experience Designer

About the role

The Senior Learning Experience Designer leads a team of designers to create high‑quality, industry‑relevant curricula that align with ALX’s learning principles and strategic goals. You will act as both coach and project manager, guiding workflow, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee design of new programs, ensuring they are practical, scalable and aligned with competency frameworks.
• Lead and mentor Learning Experience Designers, managing sprints, retrospectives and staffing allocations.
• Establish review processes for content quality, accessibility and pedagogical rigor.
• Incorporate learner, facilitator and partner feedback into iterative design cycles.
• Experiment with emerging tools and AI‑powered technologies to boost engagement and outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven track record in instructional design, curriculum development and large‑scale program management.
• Experience leading design teams with strong coaching and mentorship abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work with subject‑matter experts, industry partners and cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Expertise with authoring tools such as H5P.
• Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
• Experience integrating AI‑powered learning or assessment tools.
