Senior Manager/Associate Director Procurement – Midwest US

About the role

We are looking for a senior procurement leader to drive the strategic and operational sourcing of key feedstocks and intermediates for our chemical portfolio across the Midwest United States. You will shape sourcing strategies that improve cost competitiveness, ensure supply security, and diversify our supplier base.

Key responsibilities

• Lead strategic and operational sourcing of oxo‑chemicals, aromatics, carbonyls, and polymer precursors.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that enhance cost competitiveness, supply security, and supplier diversification.
• Conduct market, cost‑structure, and price analyses for commodity‑driven or regulated feedstocks and intermediates.
• Negotiate long‑term agreements with producers and distributors, incorporating indexation, volume alignment, and risk‑mitigation mechanisms.
• Deliver financial impact through supplier consolidation, process optimization, and improved commercial terms.
• Partner with cross‑functional restructuring teams to align procurement decisions with overall turnaround objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in business, economics, engineering, supply chain or a related field.
• Minimum 6 years of procurement experience in the chemical sector, including leadership of procurement initiatives.
• Strong upstream chemical supply‑chain knowledge and a proven track record in complex contract negotiation and cost improvement.
• Analytical, hands‑on, entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Business fluency in English and willingness to travel up to four days per week across the US.
