Senior MEAL Technology Officer

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Senior MEAL Technology Officer to lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of data systems for its Kenya country programme and the TeachWell project. This senior position reports to the METAL Coordinator and works closely with regional and project‑level MEAL advisors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead MEAL technology delivery across the entire IRC Kenya programme, including the TeachWell project.
• Provide technical leadership for digital and technology work, ensuring data systems are high‑quality, timely, interoperable and ready for handover to government and partners.
• Design, implement, maintain and advance the country’s digital data architecture in line with METAL framework standards.
• Collaborate with the Regional MEAL Technology Coordinator and TeachWell MEAL Advisor to align technical solutions with programme needs.
• Account for the quality and timeliness of all data systems and produce routine reporting on progress.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with proven experience in MEAL technology and digital data systems.
• Solutions‑driven, passionate about humanitarian impact.
• Ability to work within a multi‑partner environment and coordinate with government, NGOs and donors.
