Senior Medical Billing & Coding Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support U.S. healthcare practices remotely. The role involves managing the full revenue cycle, including billing, coding, claims submission, and denial management.

Key responsibilities

• Handle day‑to‑day U.S. medical billing and coding activities.
• Prepare, review, and submit accurate claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
• Apply CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS codes and appropriate modifiers.
• Manage denials, rejected claims, appeals and claim corrections.
• Perform Accounts Receivable follow‑up and resolve outstanding insurance balances.
• Review EOBs/ERAs, reconcile payments and post payments.
• Work with payer portals, clearinghouses, EHR/EMR and billing platforms.
• Identify recurring billing issues and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years hands‑on U.S. medical billing and coding experience.
• Direct experience within a U.S. healthcare practice or clinic.
• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid and commercial insurance payers.
• Strong understanding of CPT, ICD‑10, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
