Senior Relationship Manager - FMCG

About the role

KCB Bank is hiring a Senior Relationship Manager for its Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) segment, a full-time management-level position based in Nairobi. The role drives growth of the corporate client portfolio and trade and transaction banking, and requires a university degree, seven years of banking experience and five years in FMCG/manufacturing relationship management, credit analysis and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the FMCG Business Segment Portfolio strategy in line with the overall KCB Group Strategy.
• Deliver annual business growth targets for revenue, fees and commissions, balance sheet and customer number growth.
• Execute client deals in line with strategic client plans and run sales growth tactics with business partners.
• Champion consistent, seamless and trusted customer service to retain and build loyalty.
• Maintain and deepen key regional client relationships with sectors, product management teams, bancassurance, capital markets and other partners.
• Monitor daily referrals so client facilities stay within bank parameters, and exercise discretion on account conduct.
• Submit quality credit proposals on time in line with Credit Policy, and keep the portfolio within NPL and PAR limits.

Required profile

• University degree from a recognised institution.
• Seven years of banking experience in the financial/banking sector.
• Five years in corporate relationship management within FMCG, manufacturing or agribusiness.
• Five years each in credit and financial analysis and client portfolio management.
• Deep knowledge of FMCG, manufacturing and agribusiness value chains and sector trends.

Required skills

• Knowledge of trade and transaction banking products.
• Digital savviness and computer literacy.
• Research, analytical and problem-solving skills, and entrepreneurial commercial thinking.
