Senior Sales Executive

About the role

CityBlue Hotels is seeking a results‑driven Senior Sales Executive to lead business development across corporate accounts, travel agencies, events and group bookings in Nairobi. You will work on‑site, representing the brand and driving revenue growth while collaborating closely with reservations, front office and marketing teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities through prospecting, cold outreach and networking.
• Conduct sales visits, property tours and present proposals and contracts to corporate and group clients.
• Negotiate rates within established guidelines and close sales to meet occupancy and revenue targets.
• Maintain and grow existing client relationships with regular meetings, calls and account reviews.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare reports and analyse market trends and competitor activity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to launch campaigns, optimise room occupancy and ensure seamless guest experiences.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry forums and networking events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong account management, business development and client relationship skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to analyse sales reports, market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of the Nairobi and wider Kenyan corporate and travel markets is an advantage.
