Sensor Payload Operator / Technician (Maritime Surveillance)

About the role

TSC is seeking experienced Sensor Payload Operators and Technicians to conduct maritime surveillance missions on civilian‑registered King Air aircraft. The role supports civil fisheries enforcement across the Western and Central Pacific, operating under air tasking orders and mission‑specific training.

Key responsibilities

• Operate aircraft sensor payloads to detect, locate and identify maritime targets.
• Maintain real‑time communication with crew and ground personnel during missions.
• Prepare detailed mission observation reports and post‑mission equipment performance documentation.
• Perform maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of airborne sensor payload systems following TSC SOPs and OEM guidelines.
• Assist ISR Systems Engineers and participate in aviation and non‑aviation duties, including briefings to local officials and sensor integration activities.
• Undertake additional related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Four or more years of relevant military training/qualification and operational experience.
• Experience operating AIS, Radar and EO/IR gimbal systems simultaneously.
• Valid US passport for deployment periods.
• Physical conditioning to perform mission‑critical tasks, including lifting and prolonged standing.
• Ability to travel on short notice for assignments up to three months.
• Fluent in English (read, write, speak).
