Signal Maintenance Technician – Permanent Full‑Time

About the role
V/Line is seeking qualified Signal Maintenance Technicians to join its growing rail network across multiple Victorian locations. You will be responsible for maintaining and installing critical signalling and communications equipment, ensuring safe and reliable train operations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on signalling equipment.
- Perform scheduled servicing, fault rectification and installation of new systems.
- Investigate, report and help resolve signalling system incidents.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a safe, efficient railway network.
- Work shifts including night, day and rotating patterns (7:7 & 5:2).
Required profile
- Certificate IV in Rail and Tram Signalling Systems.
- Safe Working Certificate and a valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to work at one of the listed locations (Sale, Warragul, West Melbourne, Sunshine, Geelong, Shepparton, Bendigo, Ballarat).

Required skills
- Rail signalling systems maintenance.
- Fault‑finding and troubleshooting of signalling equipment.
- Installation of signalling and communications hardware.
