Sonographer (Ultrasound) – Nyahururu

About the role

Equity Afia is seeking a qualified Sonographer to join its network of franchised outpatient centres. The role involves delivering high‑quality ultrasound services and providing accurate diagnostic information to support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using state‑of‑the‑art equipment.
• Obtain, process and interpret sonographic images.
• Prepare clear and concise diagnostic reports.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and record‑keeping in line with health management information systems.

Required profile

• Higher Diploma in Ultrasound and/or Radiology or Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences.
• Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.
• Registered with the Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority and member of the Society of Radiography in Kenya (SORK).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in computer applications, especially Health Management Information Systems.
