Sourcing Manager II – Indirect Procurement

About the role

The Sourcing Manager II, Indirect is responsible for managing indirect categories across all Evonik offices and plants in the United States and Canada. The role covers the procurement of technical equipment, maintenance and technical services, as well as general goods and services, driving cost‑effective and sustainable sourcing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Set overall strategic direction and priorities for the assigned indirect categories.
• Identify national contract opportunities and pursue regional, national, or global synergies.
• Coordinate with global counterparts and direct the Category Sourcing Specialist.
• Audit competitive bid processes to ensure compliance with the Procurement Management Manual.
• Manage KPI’s defined by Procurement Management.
• Negotiate contracts and price terms, handling spend up to $50 MM per year.
• Maintain and optimize electronic catalogs in e‑procurement platforms such as Ariba and RIsource.
• Identify savings potential, especially related to sustainability and EBIT impact.

Required profile

• Ambitious and self‑driven with strong analytical and interpersonal abilities.
• Solid business acumen and experience in indirect procurement.
• Proven capability to lead and coordinate category specialists.
• Familiarity with procurement policies and contract management.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with e‑procurement platforms such as Ariba.
• Experience using RIsource for catalog management.
