Special Education Teacher

About the role

Rainbow Centre is seeking a dedicated Special Education (SPED) Teacher to join its interdisciplinary team. You will design and deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based learning experiences that empower students with disabilities to reach their fullest potential.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑paced lessons tailored to diverse learner profiles.
• Implement evidence‑based pedagogy and meaningful activities to meet individual educational needs.
• Manage classroom environment proactively to enhance motivation, behaviour and learning opportunities.
• Develop and monitor student‑centered IEP/ITP plans in partnership with families and allied professionals.
• Establish safe, supportive relationships that promote holistic student development.
• Design positive classroom routines and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Collaborate with allied professionals, families and internal stakeholders for optimal student outcomes.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.
• Assist in co‑curricular activities to enrich student experiences.

Required profile

• Singaporean citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Diploma in Special Education (DISE) is mandatory.
• Registered teacher with the Ministry of Education.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a special‑education setting.
