Speech and Fine Motor Therapist (Home Based)

About the role

Brites Management Services is looking for a part-time Speech and Fine Motor Therapist to work from home in Kangundo Road. The role covers speech and language therapy, fine motor and occupational therapy support, and close collaboration with parents.

Key responsibilities

• Speech and communication therapy: assess and run individualised sessions, develop strategies for verbal and non-verbal communication, and support speech clarity, comprehension and expression.
• Fine motor and occupational therapy: design activities for fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and dexterity, support handwriting, pencil grip and daily living skills, and adjust therapy plans as progress is monitored.
• Play-based development: plan structured play that promotes social interaction, confidence and independence, and use play-based interventions for cognitive, emotional and communication skills.
• Record daily sessions and progress, give parents regular feedback and reports, recommend home exercises, and collaborate with parents on interventions.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy or a related field.
• Valid professional registration or licensing where applicable.
• Experience working with children needing speech and fine motor support.
• Knowledge of child development and therapeutic intervention techniques.
• Patient, compassionate and able to build positive relationships with children and families.
