Stock Control Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Stock Control Manager to lead material management for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures compliance with government procedures while maintaining efficient inventory levels to support operational demands.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee stock control operations, including tracking, ordering, receiving, and issuing materials in line with Government Material Management/MIS systems.
• Maintain accurate inventory accountability and ensure compliance with Navy standards and regulations.
• Utilize N-ERP and other government material management systems to streamline processes and monitor inventory control procedures.
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of stock control personnel, evaluating performance and fostering productivity.
• Prepare detailed reports on stock levels, discrepancies, and material flow for management and government stakeholders.
• Identify process improvements and implement corrective actions to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a stock control manager and supervisor.
• At least two (2) years of experience or training with N-ERP and non‑mechanized material management procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of Government Material Management/MIS systems and related processes.
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities to manage inventory and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for personnel management and stakeholder coordination.
