Store Renovator

About the role

Bata Kenya, a manufacturer and retailer of high-quality footwear, is looking for a dedicated, experienced and reliable Store Renovator. The role covers renovation, refurbishment, repair and maintenance work in stores, including painting, partitioning, flooring and ceilings. Candidates must be able to travel to different store locations as required.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out store renovation, repairs and maintenance.
• Perform painting, partitioning, flooring, ceiling and other renovation works.
• Ensure quality workmanship and timely completion of projects.
• Maintain safety standards and use tools and materials properly.
• Protect merchandise, furniture, equipment and other store assets from damage during renovation.
• Follow occupational health and safety requirements and handle and store tools and materials safely.
• Identify and promptly report structural defects, major repairs and technical issues needing specialist attention.
• Keep disruption to store operations to a minimum and keep the site clean.
• Monitor material quality and ensure work meets required standards.
• Use materials efficiently and minimise wastage.

Required profile

• 4 years' experience in renovation and maintenance works.
• Diploma in Building Construction, Masonry, Carpentry or a related technical field is an added advantage.
• Relevant vocational training or certification from a recognised institution.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings and renovation instructions.
• Willingness to travel to different store locations as required.
• Strong problem-solving, time-management and organisational skills.
• High level of integrity, reliability, attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
