Storekeeper for IRS Operations in Busia and Siaya

About the role

The Storekeeper will support the Indoor Residual Spraying (IRS) programme in Busia and Siaya counties, ensuring that insecticide‑treated nets, spray equipment and related commodities are received, stored, tracked and accounted for throughout the campaign.

Key responsibilities

• Receive IRS commodities from the central warehouse, verify quantities and complete stock management documentation.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using the digitised requisition system and monitor stock levels for timely replenishment.
• Conduct regular stock takes and audits, report discrepancies to the Warehouse Manager and enforce safety procedures for handling insecticides.
• Secure the store against theft, damage and unauthorized access, and ensure proper labeling and storage of all items.
• Prepare and submit requisitions for IRS items to the central warehouse and follow up on supply requests.

Required profile

• Works under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager and follows established SOPs.
• Demonstrates attention to detail, reliability and a strong safety culture.

Required skills

• Basic inventory management and stock tracking.
• Familiarity with digitised requisition tools and record‑keeping.
• Understanding of safety protocols for handling insecticides and hazardous materials.
