Strategic Initiatives & Project Manager

About the role

A leading security services provider in East Africa, recruited through Summit Recruitment & Search, is looking for a highly analytical and execution-focused Strategic Initiatives & Project Manager to work closely with the Group CEO. The role drives strategic execution, business transformation and operational excellence, turning business strategy into actionable initiatives and leading high-impact projects.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Group CEO to develop and execute strategic initiatives supporting business growth and operational excellence.
• Lead the planning and delivery of high-impact strategic projects, on time, within budget and with measurable results.
• Identify and implement innovative products, technologies and business solutions that improve efficiency and competitiveness.
• Monitor performance through KPIs, dashboards and reporting tools, giving data-driven insights to executives.
• Drive business process improvement and transformation to boost productivity, service delivery and profitability.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders and set project governance frameworks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent; an MBA is an added advantage.
• Minimum 5-7 years' experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business transformation, operational excellence or project management.
• Proven track record managing complex cross-functional projects and driving initiatives from concept to implementation.

• Analytical, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders.
