About the role
Oxfam Kenya is seeking an experienced external consultant to facilitate the development of its Affiliate Strategy for 2026‑2031. The role focuses on guiding a participatory, staff‑led process that defines Oxfam Kenya’s identity, strategic focus, and contribution within the global Oxfam confederation.
Key responsibilities
- Design and lead a structured, time‑bound facilitation process with Oxfam Kenya leadership, staff, and governance bodies.
- Support analysis of Kenya’s political, social, economic, and climate context to inform strategic choices.
- Synthesize workshop outputs and stakeholder insights into a coherent strategic framework.
- Ensure the final strategy reflects Oxfam’s values, including feminist, rights‑based, and decolonial principles.
- Document the process and deliver a consolidated strategy document for approval.
Required profile
- Proven experience facilitating strategic planning for NGOs or development organisations.
- Strong understanding of localization, power redistribution, and affiliate‑confederation dynamics.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and synthesis skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with internal teams.
