Supplies Coordinator

About the role

The Supplies Coordinator will manage aircraft spares, tools and general inventory for Kenya Airways, ensuring compliance with airworthiness and safety standards. This role supports maintenance schedules and contributes to efficient warehouse operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee warehousing, handling and issuance of aircraft spares and tools in line with quality and airworthiness requirements.
• Maintain secure access to the stockroom and enforce Maintenance Organization Exposition procedures.
• Manage inventory levels using OASES or similar software, conduct regular audits and achieve at least 98% stock accuracy.
• Receive, inspect and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and quality standards.
• Organise storage space with appropriate shelving and labelling to ensure quick access.
• Coordinate distribution of materials to various users or satellite warehouses based on demand.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, OEM guidelines and proper handling of dangerous goods.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all inventory transactions and generate reports for decision‑making.
• Identify and implement continuous‑improvement initiatives to optimise warehouse efficiency and reduce costs.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management or Commerce.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar warehouse role, preferably within aviation.
• In‑depth knowledge of inventory and supply‑chain management, including statutory regulations.
• Training in handling Dangerous Goods is an advantage.

Required skills

• Forklift certification or ability to complete forklift training safely.
• Proficiency with MRP systems and inventory software such as OASES.
• Computer literacy and ability to generate detailed inventory reports.
