Support Services Manager (6‑month secondment)

About the role

The Support Services Manager will be seconded for six months to Kiptapkei Environmental CBO (KTK) to establish, strengthen, and directly manage finance, human resources, administration, and compliance functions. The role blends strategic oversight with hands‑on support to ensure robust financial management, donor compliance, and sustainable HR practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for financial management, including policy implementation, internal controls, and accountability mechanisms.
• Oversee budget preparation, cash‑flow monitoring, bank reconciliations, and financial planning for KTK.
• Prepare and submit accurate financial reports to Save the Children and other stakeholders.
• Lead audit and review processes, ensuring timely implementation of recommendations.
• Supervise the Project Accountant and act as the primary focal point for financial accountability.
• Coordinate with banks, statutory bodies, suppliers, and Save the Children teams.
• Manage payroll administration, performance‑management systems, and HR compliance.
• Mentor and coach local staff, building institutional capacity and embedding sustainable policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in finance and HR management within NGOs or similar environments.
• Strong knowledge of donor and statutory compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and transfer skills to local teams.
• Excellent analytical, reporting, and risk‑mitigation capabilities.
