Tactical Small Craft Training Instructor

About the role

Terrestris Global Solutions is looking for experienced Tactical Small Craft Training Instructors to support Marine Forces Reserve operations. The role involves delivering classroom and hands‑on maritime training to U.S. Marine Corps Reserve personnel at reserve training centers in Tampa, Florida and Galveston, Texas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct classroom and underway instruction on tactical small‑boat operations, navigation, communications, and weapons employment.
• Train Marines on preventive and corrective maintenance of craft systems, including hull mechanical & electrical (HM&E) components.
• Lead live‑fire and underway training evolutions, serving as Range Safety Officer and Line Coach.
• Evaluate individual and crew proficiency using USMC training standards and performance checklists.
• Develop and update training materials, exams, qualification boards, and grading sheets.
• Support maintenance cycles for vessels such as the MMRC‑A and Expeditionary Littoral Craft (ELC) and associated equipment.
• Participate in training planning conferences, exercises, and working groups.

Required profile

• Prior experience instructing or operating tactical small craft in a military or law‑enforcement environment.
• Ability to teach both theoretical concepts and practical seamanship to adult learners.
• Strong understanding of USMC training standards and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work onsite at reserve training facilities in Florida or Texas.
