About the role

Airtel Africa is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead direct and indirect tax compliance, reporting, audit management and tax strategy for its Kenyan entities and to coordinate tax activities across its African markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare, review and submit all Kenyan statutory tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT) and ensure compliance with KRA requirements.
  • Serve as primary contact with the Kenya Revenue Authority, managing audits, investigations, objections and appeals.
  • Coordinate tax compliance and risk register management across 14 African markets.
  • Support cross‑border transactions, manage transfer pricing policies and documentation.

Required profile

  • Strong knowledge of Kenyan tax legislation and OECD transfer pricing principles.
  • Proven experience in tax audit management and dispute resolution.
  • Ability to work with local tax and finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
