Teacher Assistant / Aide (1:1)

About the role

Teacher Assistants and Aides play a vital part in supporting classroom teachers and fostering a positive learning environment. Working directly with teachers and students across multiple Long Island locations, you will help manage daily classroom activities and ensure a safe, engaging space for children.

Key responsibilities

• Model play and engage with students during lessons and activities.
• Set up classroom materials, learning stations, and activity centers.
• Assist teachers with classroom management and individualized support.
• Perform light cleaning and organization to maintain a tidy learning environment.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Successful completion of a New York State criminal background check.
• Clear, understandable written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, effective interaction with children.
