Team Leader – Butchery

About the role

The Team Leader – Butchery will drive commercial performance and ensure a high‑quality customer experience in a hypermarket environment. You will motivate the butchery team, manage stock, and uphold safety and hygiene standards to meet sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement pricing strategies, product assortment, and promotional activities to boost sales and profitability.
• Monitor customer satisfaction (NPS) and launch improvement initiatives.
• Oversee inventory control, replenishment planning, stock reporting, and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Reduce waste and shrinkage through control measures and accurate waste reporting.
• Maintain merchandising standards, correct product placement, pricing accuracy, and planogram compliance.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and security regulations.
• Schedule staff, monitor performance, provide training, and support new hires.
• Deliver excellent customer service, resolve issues, and promote products.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in commerce or finance.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in butchery operations or meat processing.
• Strong knowledge of carcass breakdown and meat cutting (beef, lamb, poultry).
• Experience with HACCP food safety standards.
• Ability to assess meat freshness and manage shelf‑life.
• Proficiency in stock handling, receiving, storage, and FIFO rotation.
