Technical Sales Engineer - Beam & Block Flooring

About the role

Kenya Builders & Concrete Company Ltd is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer in Nairobi to sell Beam & Block flooring solutions and other Group products to developers, contractors, architects and engineers. The role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, giving accurate guidance, tailored solutions and wider sales and marketing support.

Key responsibilities

• Sales and business development: identify, pursue and convert Beam & Block leads, build relationships with architects, engineers, developers, contractors and quantity surveyors, visit sites to assess needs and follow up quotations until deals are closed.
• Technical support: advise on applications, designs and specifications, interpret architectural and structural drawings to generate take-offs, prepare basic layouts or coordinate detailed drawings and installation guidance with design and drafting teams, and propose custom solutions.
• Client engagement: deliver product presentations and technical workshops, support Marketing with product knowledge and technical content such as brochures and case studies, and train clients and staff.
• Project coordination: work with Production and Logistics for accurate, timely delivery, monitor project timelines and material usage, and give market feedback.
• Deliver monthly or quarterly sales targets, new project wins, accurate technical proposals, client satisfaction and repeat business, and manage CRM data and HubSpot usage.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 3+ years in technical sales or project-based selling in construction.
• Knowledge of precast and flooring systems, including Beam & Block, is an advantage.

Required skills

• Ability to read technical drawings.
• AutoCAD proficiency is a plus.
