Technical Service Representative - Floor Coatings

About the role

Jotun Kenya is seeking a Technical Service Representative to support its floor coatings business. The role provides hands‑on technical assistance to customers, ensuring that coating applications meet Jotafloor specifications and that projects are delivered to contract standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead on‑site inspections of surface preparation, moisture levels, profile, cleanliness and overall substrate condition before coating.
• Guide applicators on correct mixing, application, curing methods and key parameters to comply with approved specifications.
• Verify that floor coating systems are applied in line with Inspection and Test Plans, procedures and requirements.
• Investigate coating failures, complaints or non‑conformances and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare technical documentation such as inspection reports, application data, non‑conformance reports and final handover documents.
• Provide product guidance, training and support during project meetings, warranty inspections and maintenance reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in chemical, civil, construction or a related field.
• Experience with industrial floor coating systems and concrete repair works.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Proactive, methodical, able to analyse complex issues and make sound judgments.
• Comfortable working in dynamic environments and adapting to changing priorities.
