Technical Specialist Associate - Adhesives

About the role

H.B. Fuller, the world's largest pure-play adhesives company, is looking for an Associate Technical Specialist in Nairobi, Kenya. The role supports customer applications, technical service and market development across East Africa, working closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D and customers to deliver technical support, product training and solutions. It is a development-focused position building expertise in adhesives, application equipment, substrates and manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Support customer application trials, product demonstrations and troubleshooting
• Help customers choose products, select application methods and answer equipment questions
• Analyze performance data and prepare technical reports and presentations
• Run customer training sessions on products, applications and equipment
• Work with sales teams on key accounts and business opportunities
• Take part in market research, industry events and trend identification
• Support new product launches and give feedback to Marketing and R&D

Required profile

• High school diploma with 4+ years of relevant technical experience, or an Associate/Technical degree, or a Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment or industrial applications
• Authorization to work in Kenya and willingness to travel as required
• Preferred: Bachelor's in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related; at least 1 year of experience or training in adhesives, application equipment, machinery or substrates; technical certification; experience supporting customer-facing technical projects or product demonstrations
