Telesales Agent

About the role

The Platinum Group Africa Limited is looking for a motivated Telesales Agent to join its sales team in Nairobi. You will generate leads, make outbound calls and close sales to help the company meet its sales objectives. The position is full time, entry level and requires at least 2 years of experience in telesales or a related field and a diploma in a relevant discipline.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to potential and existing customers.
• Generate leads through various channels and identify sales opportunities.
• Present, promote and sell products and services to existing and prospective customers.
• Achieve sales targets and outcomes within the specified timeframe.
• Handle customer inquiries and give accurate information about products and services.
• Maintain and develop customer relationships to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Update customer records accurately in the CRM system.
• Attend regular training sessions to improve product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Collaborate with the sales team on sales strategies and campaigns, and give feedback on customer needs, interests and competitor activity.

Required profile

• Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in telesales or a similar role.
• Proven track record of meeting sales quotas.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to handle rejection and stay calm under pressure; self-motivated and results-driven.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.

What we offer

• Net salary of KES 15,000 plus commissions.
