Test Engineer (Maternity Cover)

About the role

Save the Children International is seeking a Test Engineer to provide maternity cover for a 14‑month fixed‑term contract. Working within a global IT team, you will ensure the quality of core business applications through comprehensive testing and collaboration with development and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Project Managers, Developers, and Solution Architects to align test deliverables with quality standards and timelines.
• Define, document, and maintain testing strategies, plans, scenarios, test cases, and scripts for functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Execute manual and automated tests, analyse results, and provide release recommendations.
• Manage defect lifecycle and report status through JIRA.
• Coordinate testing resources, including virtual and third‑party teams, to meet project objectives.
• Mentor local and global peers, promoting a testing culture and best practices.

Required profile

• Right to work in the country of assignment for the contract duration.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Ability to work hybrid/remote with up to 5% international travel.
• Experience in QA testing for enterprise applications.

Required skills

• JIRA for defect and test management.
• Experience with test frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress or similar).
• Manual and automated testing techniques.
• Functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
