About the role
Career Directions Limited (CDL) is hiring a Trade Development Representative based in Muchatha/Ruaka, Nairobi. The role focuses on visiting channels to raise retailer awareness and improve SIM and float sales, while keeping visibility and merchandising strong at the point of sale for SSOs and cash agents.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and recruit agents, targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores
- Visit SSOs and agents regularly using agreed route plans (beat plans)
- Provide the tools needed for transactions at SSO and agent outlets and train them on processes
- Train agents on AML and SSOs on KYC in relation to SIMREG
- Monitor and enforce the 1.5x stock rule for agents and ensure SSOs have enough SIM stock for new registrations and activations
- Develop and maintain merchandising standards by providing merchandising materials at outlets
Required profile
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role in FMCG or telecoms
