Training Manager – Alternative Channels

About the role

The Training Manager – Alternative Channels will report to the Head of Agency Training and lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of training programmes for Bancassurance and Sacco Assurance distribution channels. The role focuses on equipping relationship managers, bank staff and sacco representatives with the product, sales and regulatory knowledge needed to distribute life insurance solutions effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive training strategy aligned with the organisation’s growth and distribution objectives.
• Translate strategic training priorities into practical, channel‑specific training plans for Bancassurance and Sacco Assurance.
• Design structured learning pathways to enhance productivity and advisory capability of alternative channels.
• Deliver product, sales and compliance training and ensure consistent, high‑quality delivery across all channels.
• Ensure training content is practical, relevant and aligned to channel realities.
• Conduct field visits, joint sales engagements and coaching sessions to reinforce learning.
• Manage the training calendar for Bancassurance and Sacco channels.
• Maintain compliance, governance and reporting for all training activities.

Required profile

• Reports to the Head of Agency Training.
• Responsible for designing and delivering training for Bancassurance and Sacco Assurance channels.
• Ability to align training programmes with business growth and channel productivity goals.
