Treasury Accountant

About the role

The Treasury Accountant will support Vivo Energy Kenya’s corporate treasury function by managing cash flow forecasting, cash accounting and treasury reporting. This role ensures accurate financial data, compliance with treasury policies and smooth coordination with banks and insurers.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate cash flow forecasts and maintain treasury reporting templates.
• Operate the FX trading desk, execute foreign‑exchange deals and monitor related gains/losses.
• Manage e‑banking systems, oversee cashiers receipting and ensure prompt capture of banking transactions in SAP.
• Support bank reconciliation activities, resolve reconciling items and verify bank interest charges.
• Coordinate insurance matters, ensure alignment of payment platforms with treasury policy, and act as backup for P‑Card and trade finance functions.
• Monitor product and duty payments, ensure settlements are made on time and maintain zero defaults on facility utilization.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting and Finance.
• Experience in a treasury or finance environment.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CFA.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
