Truck Driver - Bakery Products Delivery

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring a full-time Truck Driver in Mlolongo to transport bakery products, raw materials and other company goods safely, on time and efficiently. Deliveries must be made according to schedule while keeping product quality, complying with road safety regulations and maintaining the assigned vehicle.

Key responsibilities

• Transport bakery products, raw materials and supplies to customers, distributors and branches, verifying quantities against invoices, delivery notes and orders and obtaining signed proof of delivery.
• Carry out daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections, keep the truck clean and roadworthy, monitor fuel, oil, coolant and tyre pressure, and report faults and coordinate servicing with the fleet or maintenance team.
• Follow traffic laws and company transport policies, keep valid licences, insurance and inspection certificates, and use safe, defensive driving practices.
• Assist with loading and unloading, secure goods properly and report damaged or missing items.
• Keep accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption and inspections, and complete delivery notes, trip sheets, logbooks and incident reports.
• Deliver courteously, handle basic customer queries and report feedback or complaints to the supervisor.
• Protect company vehicles, goods and documents, and report theft, accidents or security incidents immediately.

Required profile

• Valid Class BCE driving licence or other relevant category.
• At least 3 years of experience driving commercial trucks.
• Clean driving record and good knowledge of road safety and traffic regulations.
• Experience in FMCG distribution, preferably in the bakery or food manufacturing industry, is an advantage.
