Utility Liaison

About the role

Amentum is hiring a Utility Liaison in Mombasa, Kenya. The role ensures that all utility-related work is accomplished and properly coordinated, acting as the main point of contact for utility coordination with the Government. The position requires staying on site during regular Government working hours and may require availability after hours.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate utility service requests, outages, emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance
• Work with Government representatives, utility providers and installation personnel
• Monitor the operation of utility systems and report issues to engineering and facilities
• Maintain records, reports, logs and documentation of utility operations
• Support planning and execution of upgrades, inspections, preventive maintenance and compliance activities
• Track work orders and ensure timely completion
• Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, environmental regulations and safety standards
• Provide regular status updates and reports to management and stakeholders
• Assist with inspections, audits and assessments of utility systems and infrastructure

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering from a U.S.-accredited institution or ABET-accredited program, with at least three years' experience managing utility systems of similar size; 10 years' experience can substitute the degree and three years
• Experience coordinating multiple projects or service requests in a fast-paced environment
• Valid passport valid for at least one year, ability to travel internationally and to obtain country-specific visas
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and obtain facility credentials
• Fluent reading, speaking and understanding of English
• Preferred: OCONUS experience with a multi-national workforce, a valid driver's license, familiarity with electrical distribution, water, wastewater or telecommunications infrastructure, and experience supporting government or military installations
