About the role

Ujima Foundation, a sustainable urban development organisation, is offering a range of internship and entry‑level positions in Kisumu and Nakuru. The roles support finance, training, social work, nature guiding, social media, food & beverage service, grounds maintenance and monitoring & evaluation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records, manage transactions and assist with budgeting (Finance & Admin internship).
• Deliver youth employability sessions on CV writing, interview preparation and workplace conduct (Employability Skills Trainer).
• Support case management, assessments, referrals and follow‑up for vulnerable families (Social Worker Intern).
• Lead guided nature walks and share conservation knowledge with visitors (Nature Walk Guide).
• Create and publish content to grow the organisation’s online presence (Social Media Marketer).
• Provide table service, order taking and uphold hygiene standards (Food & Beverage Service).
• Maintain clean, safe grounds and perform minor repairs and landscaping (Grounds & General Maintenance).
• Lead monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities across programmes (MEAL Officer).

Required profile

• Motivated individuals with a passion for community development and youth empowerment.
• Students or recent graduates in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Digital Media, Food & Beverage, Horticulture, Environmental Studies, or related fields.

Required skills

• Basic bookkeeping or financial record‑keeping skills for finance roles.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities for training and social work positions.
