Warehouse Assistant for Health Project

About the role

Under the supervision of the Warehouse Manager, you will support the management, receipt, delivery, and inventory control of malaria vector control and HIV/AIDS service delivery commodities in Busia and Siaya counties. The position is short‑term, focused on ensuring accurate stock records and safe handling of insecticide‑related items.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in daily warehouse operations, maintaining proper inventory records and optimal stock levels.
• Inspect and verify received commodities for quality and quantity, updating stock cards and ledger books promptly.
• Prepare delivery and receipt documentation such as delivery notes and GRNs.
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and FIFO rotation to prevent expiry and damage.
• Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment and support supply requests from operation sites.

Required profile

• Diploma in purchasing, supplies management, or a related field.
• At least 6 months of experience as a storekeeper or store assistant (desired).
• Good communication skills in English and Kiswahili.
• Physically fit, able to stand long hours and lift items.
• Willingness to work six days a week and undergo a medical examination due to insecticide exposure.

Required skills

• Experience with procurement or inventory management software.
