Warehouse Inventory Supervisor

About the role

AGL (Africa Global Logistics), a multimodal logistics operator (port, logistics, maritime and rail) in Africa and part of the MSC Group, is hiring a Warehouse Inventory Supervisor in Kisumu, Kenya. The role ensures that supply chain activities follow AGL's operational excellence standards and policies, and is a full-time position under a fixed-term contract.

Key responsibilities

• Daily review of SAP postings (issues, receipts and transfers) and of physical daily counts, giving feedback to the teams for corrections
• Follow up on warehouse shortages and excesses reported in daily counts, and carry out a monthly stock take
• Daily physical versus system reconciliation for beer, keg and UDV, reconciling receipts from trade dispatches, inter-warehouse transfers and reversals
• Reconcile breakages for Kisumu and develop weekly and monthly breakage reports with reason codes and responsible partners
• Report inventory status weekly in contact reviews, HOD and inventory meetings, and escalate and close variances daily
• Conduct the Kisumu beer, keg and UDV empties stock take, request approval and post it in SAP
• Provide guidance to SAP data clerks on system reversals
• Take part in safety trainings, toolbox talks, emergency drills and walkabouts, and report near misses and unsafe acts immediately
• Circulate daily reports and KPIs accurately and on time
• Train data clerks on standard operating procedures and maintain good working relationships with site management, security and transporters
• Archive warehouse documents per SOP, keep a daily stock register and file receipts and issuing reports

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or Operations/Supply Chain Management
• At least 3 years of experience in external/internal audit, supply chain/operations/inventory management, or risk/governance/compliance management
• Professional certification in CPA/ACCA/APICS/CIPS is an added advantage
