Wireless ISP Field Technicians

About the role

Brites Management Services is hiring full-time Wireless ISP Field Technicians for Meru, Karatina and Tharakanithi. The role covers end-to-end fiber and structured cabling installations, preventive maintenance of network infrastructure, and on-site fault diagnosis and repair.

Key responsibilities

• Fiber deployment: run end-to-end fiber drops from distribution points to customer premises with neat, durable routing.
• Structured cabling: terminate Cat6 cables, crimp RJ45 connectors, mount and align CPEs, wireless radios, access points and home routers.
• Preventive maintenance: check overhead lines, distribution boxes and active nodes, maintain cable management on poles and buildings, and track equipment and spare parts.
• Troubleshooting: respond to customer downtime, fix fiber cuts, signal degradation and connector faults, and splice and patch fiber.
• Safety: climb electric and utility poles safely with PPE and avoid hazards near high-voltage lines.

Required profile

• Diploma or certificate in Telecommunications Engineering, IT, Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands-on fiber optics installation, deployment and troubleshooting in an ISP setting.
• Proven experience climbing electric poles and comfort working at heights in all weather.

Required skills

• Fiber splicing and handling of optical fiber equipment.
• Cat6 termination, RJ45 connector layouts and structured cabling standards.
• Basics of LAN, IP addressing and Wi-Fi router configuration.
