Advocacy and Coordination Consultant – Nairobi

About the role

The Advocacy and Coordination Consultant will support the implementation and coordination of advocacy strategies under the ACT Programme, facilitating communication and collaboration among partner organisations and ensuring alignment with the regional advocacy agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate regular coordination among ACT partners and broader EVAWG stakeholders, ensuring effective communication of updates, sharing of resources, and alignment of activities.
• Support strengthening partnerships among feminist movements, women’s rights organisations, UN partners, regional institutions and development partners.
• Coordinate follow‑up actions arising from partner meetings, consultations and regional convenings, and maintain stakeholder mapping and partnership engagement records.
• Assist in planning and implementing regional and country‑level advocacy initiatives aligned with ACT Programme priorities, preparing briefs, talking points, presentations and background documents.
• Lead development and implementation of ACT Programme communications and visibility plans, producing stories of change, newsletters, blogs, social media content and donor updates.
• Support media engagement, preparation of communication materials for senior leadership and external stakeholders, and maintain communication assets, visibility trackers and calendars.
