Assistant Tailor & Sustainability Support

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Tailor to join our production team in Nairobi. You will help finish garments to a high standard while supporting creative sustainability initiatives within our studio.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with garment finishing tasks such as ironing, buttoning, thread trimming and final touches.
• Inspect completed garments to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Identify and correct any issues before garments are released.
• Ensure garments are clean, pressed, labelled and stored properly.
• Support stock‑taking, maintain client order records and track garment movement.
• Collect, organise and store leftover fabrics and reusable materials.
• Create up‑cycled clothing, accessories and saleable items from fabric remnants.
• Suggest ideas to reduce waste and improve sustainable production practices.
• Maintain a clean and organised studio environment.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; a keen interest in fashion and sustainability is essential.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow quality standards.
• Basic organisational skills for inventory and material handling.
• Willingness to work on‑site in a fast‑moving studio.
