About the role
Oshwal Academy, a private international school delivering the British curriculum from pre‑school to Year 13, is seeking a qualified Biology/Human Biology Teacher. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team in Westlands, Nairobi, delivering high‑quality science education to secondary‑level students.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess Biology and Human Biology lessons in line with the British National Curriculum.
- Prepare, administer and grade examinations and coursework.
- Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
- Develop and update curriculum materials and teaching guidelines.
Required profile
- Graduate degree in Biology, Human Biology or Education (B.Ed.)
- Minimum of 4 years teaching experience in the subject area.
- Registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) in Kenya.
- Experience with the British National Curriculum is an advantage.
Required skills
- Effective teaching and lesson planning.
- Exam preparation and grading.
- Classroom management and authority.
- Curriculum development and guideline creation.
