Senior Associate Early Years, Human Development

About the role

The Human Development Practice at Genesis Analytics is looking for a Senior Associate to lead early‑years consulting engagements. You will own analytical workstreams, manage client projects and work directly with senior government and donor partners to deliver integrated early childhood solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead analytical workstreams within client projects – design approach, manage data, and own outputs from start to finish.
• Manage small to medium‑sized client projects, including workplans, budgets, team coordination and administration.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analyses such as system diagnostics, financing studies, PPP feasibility, workforce assessments and policy benchmarking.
• Develop core deliverables – technical reports, investment cases, policy notes and slide decks – and present findings to senior audiences.
• Engage directly with clients in working sessions, technical reviews and in‑country meetings.
• Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of mutual growth.
• Support proposal and business development activities, including methodology design and commercial planning.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in early‑years consulting, research, government or international development.
• Outstanding academic record (top 10 % of cohort) in Education, Early Childhood Development, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, Statistics or related field; Master’s or PhD preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset, self‑motivation, integrity and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; additional fluency in French, Arabic or Portuguese is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with at least one statistical package: Stata, R or Python.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly to enhance analysis and reporting.
