Branch Manager – CBD

About the role

The Branch Manager – CBD will lead the branch’s retail business growth, focusing on non‑medical insurance products. You will be responsible for driving market expansion, managing relationships with business channels, and ensuring high service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage relationships with general and medical business channels to achieve premium targets.
• Develop and implement market expansion strategies for the branch.
• Oversee pipeline business management, quotation processing and ensure timely delivery.
• Establish and monitor service level agreements with intermediaries.
• Coordinate cross‑selling initiatives and renewal follow‑up to improve retention.
• Collect and analyse market intelligence to identify opportunities and inform strategy.
• Handle debt management and control branch expenditure for travel, events and promotional activities.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and broker licensing standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce, Insurance, Law, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in insurance sales or underwriting.
• Professional qualifications such as ACII, Diploma in Insurance (UK) or AIIK, Diploma in Insurance (Kenya).
• Higher diplomas in Business, Commerce or Management Studies.
