Branch Relationship Manager – KABARNET & KITALE

About the role

The Branch Relationship Manager will lead VisionFund Kenya’s KABARNET and KITALE branches, driving financial inclusion and delivering high‑quality customer service. You will mentor staff, ensure compliance, and grow the branch’s portfolio while supporting the organization’s mission to help vulnerable children.

Key responsibilities

• Implement branch policies, oversee credit assessments, loan approvals, and conduct regular credit committee meetings.
• Monitor delinquency trends, enforce early recovery strategies, and ensure compliance with KYC, AML and data‑privacy regulations.
• Supervise and develop branch staff, conduct performance appraisals, coaching, and maintain high morale and retention.
• Achieve disbursement, client acquisition, collection and profitability targets while keeping Portfolio at Risk below 5%.
• Lead business development initiatives, community outreach and marketing of VisionFund products.
• Utilize core banking systems, digital field applications and MIS platforms for efficient loan processing.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and mentoring experience in a financial services environment.
• Strong focus on customer service and retention.
• Ability to ensure strict regulatory compliance (KYC, AML, data privacy).
• Track record of meeting financial performance targets and maintaining high staff retention.

Required skills

• Knowledge of credit appraisal and loan approval processes.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance requirements (KYC, AML).
• Experience with core banking systems and digital field applications.
